Hi there, I’m Linda!

I am a Product Designer with 10 years of experience in UX design. I enjoy solving problems at the intersection of art, science, and humans. I conduct user research throughout the design process to ensure whatever we build doesn't just look good, but truly works for the users!

Originally from Taiwan, I graduated from the University of Texas with a BFA in Design and a certificate in Computer Science.

With my passion for education and design, I joined Pearson where I designed a social learning platform for Wall Street English for over 180K students and teachers across 29 countries. Then, I joined Pearson’s design system team where I helped build, grow, and evolve the system. I moved on to Randstad, a human resource company, where I designed apps that delivered career services to laid-off employees, helping them get back on their feet quickly. After that, I joined JLL to work on complex commercial real estate management tools for Google and JLL, enabling businesses to drive strategy and optimize management around their real estate portfolio.

I also freelance, helping startups and small businesses with design projects such as branding for a coding school, designing the race jersey and race event website for the Bay Area Dragons, and revamping an e-commerce site for tailored menswear without the measuring tape.

What I do for Fun

When away from my laptop, I love being in nature, drawing, dancing, or hosting fun events. I've organized several company events including Diwali dance performances and Lunar New Year celebrations. I've had the chance to lead a corporate team of 20 to compete in the 2019 Bay Area Dragon Boat Novice Race.

On The Way We Work

Over the years, I have become more convinced that the quality of our work is almost entirely determined by how we work—from how we collaborate to what tools we use. When we can collaborate effectively, we are greater than the sum of the parts. In the following article, I shared my thoughts about how product teams could better leverage the skill sets of product designers to build great products.
